Kiln-dried firewood is one of the most popular types of firewood available as a result of the incredibly low moisture content of the logs. Our large bulk builders bag of kiln-dried mixed hardwood firewood, consisting of various hardwood species kiln dried to a moisture content far below 20%, much less moisture than air-dried seasoned and unseasoned logs. Unlike seasoned firewood logs where the moisture content in the firewood varies depending on the conditions it is stored in and how long it has been drying, kiln dried wood eliminates any of that uncertainty, providing the perfect logs to fuel your fire.

Our bulk builders bags of kiln-dried hardwood firewood, consisting of mixed hardwood including oak, ash, hornbeam, birch, sycamore, aspen, alder, and beech (mix dependant on the availability of material at the time the crate is packed), these logs are widely regarded as the some of the best kiln-dried logs available. Unlike seasoned firewood logs, where the moisture content in the firewood varies depending on the conditions it is stored in and how long it has been drying, kiln-dried wood eliminates any of that uncertainty, providing the perfect logs to fuel your fire.
These logs will generate a long, hot burn every time, offering extremely dry firewood that will provide consistently perfect results each time you light your fire. Each log is approximately 20cm - 25cm in length, ideal for most fireplaces and multi-fuel/wood-burning stoves.
Available in either a large loosely-filled builders bulk bag or an extra large loosely filled builders bulk bag.
To encourage airflow around your logs, we recommend that you store them in a raised log store or on a pallet to keep your logs away from moist ground. We do not recommend stacking them up against a wall or placing them on grass, as air won't be able to flow and the logs can become damp.
Our large bulk bags measure 85x85x85 cm and the extra large bulk bags measure 90x90x150 cm. A large bulk bag weighs approximately 300kg. The extra large bag has a filling skirt on top which is also fully loaded meaning that the extra large bag is roughly equivalent to two of the large bulk bags. Our extra large bag offers superior stability and safety during the delivery process as opposed to two large bulk bags stacked on top of one another, it also saves on packaging and shipping costs which are then passed on to you, the customer.
These bulk bags are delivered on a burnable wooden pallet usually by an 18-tonne or a larger-sized vehicle to your kerbside, therefore, please ensure that you can accommodate and accept deliveries from vehicles of this size. Should you require a smaller delivery vehicle, please contact us to ensure we can facilitate this for you.

Free nationwide delivery is available across all of our range depending on conditions met. All orders £99 and over allow free standard delivery nationwide excluding; Isle of Mann, Isle of Wight, Isle of Scilly and most Highlands islands. We are able to offer personalised delivery quotes to some of these areas at an additional charge, please contact one of our sales representatives on 01536 267107 or send an email over to sales@uk-timber.co.uk.
Express delivery is avilable at an additional charge and is available nationwide, although delivery times are dependant on time of order, day of order and delivery location and is generally within 3 working days (next day in most cases).
Lead times for our standard delivery is up to 5 working days from the point of dispatch, delivery times are between 09:00 and 18:00 and the courier will contact you approximately one hour prior to delivery.
All orders are dispatched with our courier and deliveries made are kerbside only using a tail lift and pallet truck, meaning that in most cases our courier is unable to delivery onto properties. In some situations where this may be possible, it is solely down to the drivers discretion and we have no control over this.
Deliveries are made using larger delivery vehicles, these vehicles being 8.5 tonne and 18/24 tonne respectively. Please ensure you are able to accommodate vehicles of this size before an order is placed, if you are unable to accommodate or are unsure, please contact us where we may be able to make alternative arrangements. If the courier is unable to delivery due to access, the order will be returned to the nearest depot and will be in contact to make alternative arrangements or will be returned to us. In this event, we may attempt re-delivery at full courier charge or the order will be cancelled and refunded.
If you are unable to be present at delivery, you can chose to opt-out of signing delivery. In this instance, the courier will unload outside of the delivery address on a suitable flat surface and you accept full responsibility for the goods. UK Timber will not accept any liability or responsibility for stolen or misplaced deliveries should you chose to opt-out of signing for delivery.
